An air cooled sub machine gun design based on 9*19 mm parabellum pistol cartridge designed for compact use in tight spaces and /or close quarter battle situation . Feeding is by magazine in pistol grip of various round capacity 20 , 30 round box . Picatinny rails on top reciever and bottom for accessories. Construction using aluminium alloy for upper reciever and nylon glass polymer for lower reciever and handguard ensures durability and light weight with ease of manufacturing using existing technology.
An air cooled light weight, assualt rifle prototyped and based around 5.56*45mm Nato round and also around 7.62*39 mm Soviet round for Kalashnikov platform. Operation is by a novel and patented gas delayed blowback mechanism where in the bolt is locked under gas pressure until bullet exits the barrel.
Upper receiver and lower receiver is constructed out of aluminium alloy whereas the upper is a monolithic design so as to ensure maximum accuracy out of the picatinny rails provided on top and bottom of handguard .
The buttstock and and pistol grip is constructed out of nylon polymer for ruggedness and lightweight . trigger components are derived from Kalashnikov platform for maximum reliability.
Bolt construction is from stainless steel with spring-loaded, firing pin and ejector fixed to the receiver. Generous clearances given all around the bolt for maximum reliability.
The gas system consist of a gas piston, which raises a cam rod attached to the bolt, which locks in the trunnion until the bullet has exited the battle. This novel mechanism has been patented by our organisation. Feeding is by box magazines in both 5.56 and 7.62 platform . The magazine well can be adjusted to accept both existing Insas magazines and the Kalashnikov rifle magazines (AKM) for maximum backward compatibility.
